Kite Aerial Photography
Kite Aerial Photography - in other words playing with a kite with quite expensive equipment. I must admit, the fun is really great! I enjoy flying the kite to 50 meters and then letting the line out for another 100 the most. At such a moment, the kite looses its height, but it gains distance, when its just above the ground, I pull the line - the kite line is stressed and it glides almost vertically upwards with such a strength, that it seems that if I don't take a few steps forward, I will break the line.
The whole thing is quite simple: there is a kite, you let the kite go upward on a line, when its quite high, you place the camera on the line and the kite pulls it up. When the camera is high enough, steered by a modeling radio, it takes pictures. That's the whole philosophy...
Putting together the equipment took me about a year, but at last I started flying. According to me - a kite is one of the best tools for making 360° panoramas from bird's eye. Another tool is a balloon, which I will soon be in possession of.
I also think that panoramas have a future, they are however connected with a certain knowledge and processing , but with one picture we can show everything. I invite you to look through pictures from kites and panoramas from kites.
